Yes, at no additional charge, you may pay the deposit and make installments up until June 15 for summer camps.
Cancellation for Summer Camps
-Can be made up until June 15.
Sorry, there are no cancellations/refunds/credits once camp sessions are running as it is difficult to fill spots at that time. (Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis for emergencies)
-A refund will be issued back on your credit card (if you originally paid by credit card) or by cheque (if you originally paid by e-transfer)
-You will receive the amount you paid minus the non-refundable $50 deposit ($50/child per week)
Spring & Christmas Camps or I-days:
-Cancellation can be made up to 2 weeks prior to camp start date.
-There is no deposit for these camps, payment must be made within 7 days of registration.
There is the option to add your child to the waitlist directly on the site.
Sorry, we are unable to offer individual subsidies. We are not for profit and run a tight budget.
We accept children entering kindergarten to grade 6 (typically 5-12).
On the first day of each week, we make groups of up to 8 children to do group activities and eat lunch with. Children are given the option to join a group with whoever they would like.
Drop-off Times – 8:30AM – 9:00AM
Pickup Times – 4:30PM – 5:00PM
Our base of operations is Centerpoint Church (700 Watt Street).
Loft Town is located at the church.
We go on daily field trips with our 72-passenger bus.
Summer camp registration is for one week at a time.
Spring and Christmas camps typically offer daily registration.
You can choose a maximum of 2 weeks per child.
We have trained paid staff who receive all background checks and first aid/CPR training.
Staff are supervised and accountable to the (on-site) director and assistant director at all times.
Our staff are Christian leaders in grades 11+.
DDC is most certainly open to special needs kids, but we cannot provide a 1 on 1 worker. If you are wanting to send your child to camp with a one on one worker, please contact the church office to discuss this. 204-669-0415
AN EVERYDAY LIST TO INCLUDE IN YOUR BACKPACK:
-Bag Lunch
-Swimsuit & Towel
-Sunscreen & Bug Spray
Extra items for day trips are posted on the summer pages for each day.
Please avoid sending nuts or nut products with your child.
-At the venues we visit for treats, we only allow kids to choose nut free products.
-If the venue can’t guarantee cross contamination, and your child is severely allergic, we will provide a treat that is safe for them.
-Our staff will be in the water with the children at all times. As close to arms length as possible.
-Our camp stays within the flags or boundaries we place on the beach in order to to stay close to our site.
-Kids are not allowed to swim deeper than their arm pits.
-Kids are not allowed to swim deeper than the deepest leader.
-Buddy system is also encouraged.
Life Jackets
If your child brings a life jacket, we will ensure they wear it.
Rock Jumping
If we are at our rock jumping location, we require kids to do a swim test and wear a life jacket at all times (we do supply life jackets for rock jumping)
